Privacy Policy

When you create an account we store your email, username, and your chosen age and gender (used to help hosts organize appropriate games). You can add a full name, avatar, bio, city, and preferred sports. When you host a game we store the details you enter (title, location, time, price, player limits).

To power the discovery feed we ask for your approximate location only when you tap "Use my location". The coordinates you share are used to calculate distance to nearby games and are stored locally on your device. Basic technical logs (IP, browser, timestamps) are kept for security and abuse prevention.

We use your information to run the service: showing you nearby games, letting you join or host games, sending in-app and email notifications about games you're part of (for example when a host cancels), keeping accounts safe, and improving the product. We do not sell your personal data.

Your public profile (username, full name if provided, avatar, average rating) is visible to other Sporio players. Your age, gender, and email are never shown publicly. When you join a game the host and other participants can see your name and avatar.

Sporio does not process payments. If a host lists a paid game, you arrange payment directly with the host. We never see, store, or transmit your payment details.

We use Google Maps to help you pick locations, and Lovable Cloud (which uses Supabase) for hosting, authentication, and storage. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.

You can edit or delete profile information at any time in the profile settings. To delete your account and associated data, email support@sporio.ca. You can revoke location access in your browser settings at any time.

Sporio is not intended for anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

We'll update this page when the policy changes. Material changes will be highlighted in-app or by email.
